This shite is crazy. Folks carry...practice. Be able to hit targets from 30 yards. For fricks sake, this shouldn’t be happening in 2019

pretty sure this was in a bar strip where most of the people walking around are intoxicated and having to pull out their concealed carry is literally the last thing on their mind

Kinda my point. Intoxicated people make the best decisions...not sure why anyone would carry.

Can you imagine if this happened in Tigerland and all the wasted baws that carried just opened up and tried shooting the gunman.
Itd be a fricking massacre

I’m afraid it was a massacre. It makes me sick. I live in a small, rural town, but I’m carrying anytime I leave my house. I also have a rifle and shotgun in my truck. I guess I’m biased but I think when folks start shooting back, this shite stops.

Realistically
1. It is almost always a crime to carry while intoxicated.
2. People shooting back is really going to be a pretty rare occurrence. Just because you can shoot accurately at the practice range doesn’t mean you can shoot worth shite in a live fire life and death incident and most people in the past who had been conceal carry have not attempted to do anything. Survival instincts to flee usually take over. The offical training most people have to take in non southern states is that you should find an area to hide if possible first and then act if possible

Agreed with your first point.
Second point though, you’re not going to get the training you need to deal with a real life scenario. If that’s your baseline for your opinion I can tell you absolutely disagree with personal carry laws. An active shooter won’t stop until something stops them. Bullets flying back will get a reaction out of them one way or another. Personally, I’d rather be struck by a stray of someone shooting back than to be mowed down by some idiot firing maliciously.

Looks like this is one of those rejuvenated areas of old buildings that cities have done around the country.

He was killed in under a minute. A bunch of random people carrying wouldn’t have stopped this. If anything, they’d hit some additional bystanders

I’d rather not be shot doing day to day activities

What is the correct amount of time someone with a gun should wait before returning fire?

30 yards with a hand gun in a chaotic environment, poor light conditions, innocents all around and when in the fog of war? You've been watching too many movies.

One thing I always think of in these situations. Say you do go hero and shoot back. Police arrive and see you with a gun. What happens next?
I'd rather take my chances unarmed.

Easy, because I trust me a frickload more than I trust any of you.
