Duolingo app on your phone. It's the best for a start. After a month of this, try posting on Craigslist in your town to set up a coffee/lunch once a week with a native speaker.

Learn Arabic instead. That will be their official language in 20 years anyway. Would be more useful.

We won WWII after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor. Expect them to speak American, dammit.
