Things are still badass looking. And you don't have to walk them much

Check the hips if you go with a GSD.
Also, check with your homeowner's insurance company.
Personally, go with a weimaraner or GSD.

Tough to house break, but a great dog. Wiener dog races, rabbit hunting, bird chasing, eats little and shits small turds. I love mine.

I've got a bull mastiff. Big arse baby with a big bark.

Great animals. Great temperament usually. I just couldn't handle the drool. That's why the Rottie is so perfect for me. Same size but the jowls are much less slobbery.

She is really well tempered. She has taken over the spare bedroom as her own space. Loves to ride in the truck. Really affectionate to us and standoffish to outsiders we have over until she see's they are cool with us.
I take her out everyday while I work on my land and she always ends up in the creek.

Dalmations aren't the smartest dogs in the world.
Border Collies are great.
Well bred German Shepherds are great.
If you want a really big dog (but with some fur which could be an issue if it is hot where you live) a gentle with the family, but very protective and smart dog, look up Bouvier des Flandres.
We had one when I was little - great dog.

Possibly. I'd say Lab for sure. My sister is fostering him right now...said he's awesome she has two dogs of her own as well.

I have a good friend who has a brindle bull mastiff. That dog is huge. She was down near the hood one day and some of the residents were talking about how big her "pit" was

Shepard out of those 4. American Bulldogs are my favorite.

My parents have a golden retriever. Sweet dog and very laid back.
I got a german shepherd 8 months ago. Smartest dog I've ever had. Needs attention constantly and needs to learn something new every day.
It's really about your preference.

If you want to keep your sanity, don't get the dalmation.
