I didn't mean EVERY NIGHT- just on the nights you can't sleep. It hasn't been a problem for me lately, but back in college, I would drink beer and read a book until I fell asleep about once a week.

Melatonin won't put you out or leave you groggy, but it will help you sleep once you do fall asleep.

In my experience.

My wife uses the adult gummy Melatonin. If I can't sleep I take 2 of these and it's lights out

I struggle falling asleep at night too. Things that help for me are daily meditation (try the headspace app), exercise (running, interval training, squats, Olympic lifts, crossfit), contrast and cold showers, reading a fiction book, fapping, melatonin, Tylenol pm and have had limited success with alcohol. Alcohol usually leaves me useless for the following day. Generally, if I stay away from coffee after 2 pm and I mentally And physically exhaust myself during the day, I don't have too much trouble falling asleep

I don't take melatonin every night, Just on the nights my brain won't shut the frick up. Or when I want to sleep good and not wake up every couple hrs.

I can't remember the last solid night's sleep I've had.

Melatonin makes my mind race/dream too much to feel rested.

TylPM/Benedryl no longer helps - I'm ammune to it.

Unisom gives me good sleep but I have a hangover the next morning. Not worth it.

I have very strange dreams on melatonin. Dreams that wake me up and then I can't go back to sleep. Bizarre unsettling dreams.

As long as you're not working out before bed.

Working out before bed does not generally help you sleep better. It actually will more than likely keep you up.

Zzzzquill is a ripoff. Just buy the cheap no name brand cough syrup. Pretty much the same ingredients as ZzzzQuill

If you're gonna do zzzquil, tylenol pm, etc. Just buy generic diphenhydramine. That's all it is.
