44 years old??
That's awesome

I was closing in on 1300 total 2 years ago at age 30
Stopped serious powerlifting 2 years ago
Only push those limits every so often for fun
I'm more focused on the bodybuilding now

I haven't even been training for powerlifting and my lifts are up.

Hit a PR on deadlift last weekend and my bench is still hovering around 330. If I really made a push, I could probably get close to 1200, but I don't know if I want to solely train that way.

I've always been in a bodybuilding mode, too. I need to diet and go on a fat reducing cardio regime.

With a 330 bench you should be well above an 1100ish total. Means your deadlift and squat isn't much higher than bench. I'm at 1305, and I can only bench 315 (bench is a weakness for me tho)

I loved their workouts. They had a strong emphasis on lifting - particularly oly lifts, and also a lot of work on advanced skills and movements.

You know who else does? Actual Olympic lifting and powerlifting gyms run by qualified individuals.

If you are referring to Greg Glassman then you just lost all credibility with that reply.

I'm more concerned with coaches who can directly oversee, critique, and improve an individual's capability of performing any complex movement.

you think Greg Glassman writes the programming for Outlaw Crossfit?

Or for any Crossfit gym in the world, for that matter?

I did crossfit for a while. Never told anyone unless they asked. Some people just like the group class atmosphere and easy to follow directions/workouts

Leg genetics suck.

Deadlift is 420
Squat is 350
Bench is 330

..and I can always find time to train chest. Legs? Not so much.

ETA: ..and I can strict shoulder press 225.

I think one of the Outlaw coaches was just named HC for the USA team in the Pan-American Games.

Really, you should have googled it like he said because you now seem even dumber. Glassman to me seems like a joke but that doesn't mean every Crossfit gym is though

My first Crossfit coaches were 1) Pan American Games lifter 2) PhD Kinesiology and D1 S&C Coach in SEC. They are more qualified than anyone in a 200 mile radius to be "coaching"

There are a ton of terrible "Crossfit" gyms with coaches who have no business given fitness instruction. Don't try and take away from those who are very qualified and educated on the movements

FYI- as others have mentioned "wod follow" is the site where you can subscribe to Rudy's programming for anyone interested. I just signed up, thanks for the few legit responses

It's the weirdest thing. I remember Rudy mentioning going to WODfollow a loooong time ago, but until recently his website has always posted the workouts also. Change was very sudden and I didn't see him mention it. I also remember him saying awhile ago that he believed in providing free programming but obviously that has changed
