Change shoes.

I also paid a Dr. for this advice. Had to buy sort of old man looking dress shoes for work everyday and I bought a pair of Sketchers with a soft insole for walking.

I have no more pain.

Get inserts for your shoes. I have some I ordered online and some I got from Walmart. The Walmart ones seem to work as well as the more expensive ones. Also, there are exercises you can do to stretch your calf muscles that are helpful as well.

Amazon
My podiatrist gave me a steroid shot & sold me some inserts.
The ones in the link are the retail version of the insoles he sold me. You can check out the medical retail version they have extra cushion in the heal but run$65 on amazon.

Go to a health foot shoe store, they will measure you for insoles and then let them sell you some Brooks shoes.

Target
This is the best thing I’ve found to roll your foot. Well worth the money.
I’ve also got a pair of the Kuru shoes, they are so so for me. I’m not knocking them, I just didn’t get the relief from them that all the reviews hype about.

The past few months I have been experiencing a lot of foot pain due to the amount of walking I do each day at work. The pain got so bad that I could barely walk by the end of the work week. I finally went and bought a 60 pk of Salonpas pain relieving patches. Each morning I put a patch across my heels and a patch across across the pad of my feet, and cover them with socks. Since then, the amount of pain and discomfort I feel has decreased considerably from what I’d consider a 9-10 pain wise to 0-2.

The patches themselves provide relief for 8 - 10 hours, and are fairly inexpensive. I think I pay 9 bucks for a 60 pack.

Awesome. Hope it helps. It took a few days but the extreme pain I was feeling in my big toe dissapated. I continue to wear them because they’ve made such a huge difference. My feet still get a little sore from all the walking, but I’m pain free.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis. Mine was nothing extremely painful, just moderately painful. I tried many things that helped to some degree. This included all sorts of stretches, kuru shoes, Birkenstock shoes (yes, they have shoes), night splint, and non-custom but premium insoles. What finally made a huge difference was getting custom milled insoles. I get mine from archcrafters and highly recommend them. I wear a hiking boot as well with great arch support. I specifically wear Merrell Moab 2. Between the insole and hiking boot, I don't have any pain now.
