Foot pain sucks bad.

Do you have any inserts you wear in your shoes? This helped me most with the daily activity. The ones I bought made it night and day with the pain of walking.

Like others have said stretching will help a lot. Good luck bud.

Rheumatologist here:

Any history of psoriasis (or family history)?
Any history of back pain?
Any other joint pain, joint swelling or morning stiffness?
Any nail changes or history of a swollen finger?

Odds are it’s unrelated but these are the pertinent questions

I do have back issues, disc protrusion on L5/S1.

I have shoes with support, but they don't seem to be helping much anymore.

What age did your back pain start?
Is it improved with activity or with rest?
Any pain at night?

A year ago. The pain is when I'm sitting down. Standing up or lying down relieves the pain.

I'm 39

You sure it aint gout?

I got that shite and it was the most pain I have ever been in. I take medicine daily for it now.

I also lost about 35 pounds and changed my lifestyle.

It will pass. I had it in both feet for a year plus back in 2012/2014. Just walk it out, stretch it, soak it in salts, get a foot pad for your shoe, take ibuprofen.

Podiatrist. In BR see Dr Christian Hall.

Steroid shot, tape foot, wear boot at night, buy good dr recommended tennis shoes.

Gotcha.

I was trying to tease out psoriatic arthritis which plantar fasciitis can be due to. It seems unlikely

It’s good you’ll be evaluated. Hopefully it improves soon

I'm not sure. We'll see what the doctor says. It just appears to be plantar fasciitis based on what I've been reading.

Independent businesses will do it. Mine were ~$100 and I can switch them between shoes.

Got mine at a place called "The Good Feet Store". Its a national chain I think, so try to locate a store near you.

LINK

Check running shoe places. Baton Rouge has Varsity Sports that I bet could point you in the right direction.

Been thru this (plantar fasciitis) twice ... It is due (in my case) to the tendons shrinking over night and being walked on in the morning. Get boots that keep your feet at 90 degrees to wear while you sleep (sucks, but only while it heals). Stretch often .. runner's stretch and touch your toes. It's not an overnight fix, but that's what worked for me (after the second time).

The shot hurts like hell, but it is the way to go. Once the pain from it wears off (couple of days) your foot will feel great. Then do the insert thing to keep it that way.

I recently had bone spur surgery that also required the detachment/reattachment of a tendon in the foot that control left/right ankle movement. AVOID Surgery if possible is all I have to say...horrible experience and I am 3 months in and just walking at about 80%
