My favorite is J'adore (Christian Dior); have tried others over the years, but keep coming back to it.
Also like Cashmere Mist (Donna Karan).
Occasionally, I wear Acqua di Gio for women (Armani), but really only because I love the men's version so much.

at least you can wear it. The place my wife worked banned all cologne and perfume because someone was hypersensitive to it.

You can never go wrong with Chanel, IMHO.
I love the Coco Mademoiselle and Chance. No. 5 smells like an old lady, unfortunately.
My cousin gave me a bottle of Juicy Couture, which I would never buy for myself because I don't care for the brand and even the bottle insists upon itself, but it actually smells really good.
And I've always been a big fan of Ralph Lauren Romance.
