They've been using AISIN and ZF-built transmissions for a couple of years now. Significantly better than what Ford has.
The new Ram is still a recent product, but it's likely far more reliable than Ford now. In part because Chrysler isn't making the transmissions for them anymore.

Our company has over forty Rams they purchased in 2018. The majority of them have had to get the transmission replaced within the 100K range. Mine at 122K and I have pulled maybe one to two trailers in 3 years is being replaced now.

In the half tons, all but the 8 speeds were shitty Chrysler transmissions back then. The newer ones are all ZF and Aisin.
Which brings another issue with Ram - there are now fewer engine and transmission options relative to GM and Ford. So depending on your needs, there may not be a perfect fit. And they've been very slow at making the work truck variants of the new generation Ram.

Ah. A lot of those HD models were updated even later than the half tons - like 2020 or so. So still too new to really see if their efforts paid off. Looks very promising though.
I think the new ones use AISIN exclusively now that they've canceled the manual option. But if you wanted a 3/4 ton option today and were gun-shy about Ram, I'd go with the Silverado HD and just deal with the plain interior.
ETA: Your Ram fleet sounds like it has done better than the Ford fleet at my previous employer. There was a period years ago when every one of our Ford diesels had to be replaced with well under 100,000 miles. I saw the bills for those. Yikes.

I've had 3 Rams going back to 2003 with 2019 new style being the current one. I've had exactly 1 warranty claim and that was just a bushing between the frame & bed on the 2003 model.

You can call BS if you want, I do have a light foot (not sure who is racing around town), but take out pencil & paper and calculate your mpg. The gauge is a little off (my gauge says around 15.0-15.8 mpg but when I calculate using math, its over 16mpg).

Borris Mart - if getting a F150 with the 5.0 V-8, be sure the intake manifold has been re-engineered or otherwise fixed. I had a 2016 with the 5.0, and in 2.5 years of ownership, the intake had to be replaced twice because of some shitty plastic piece that caused the entire manifold to fail and require replacement. Under warranty it was inconvenient, but tolerable. Out of warranty, it's a minimum $1,500 repair job that will have you out of your truck for 2 days.
