Not all swing speeds require the same shaft. One of my teammates in high school used a lady flex with a 12 degree loft. He was very good and not a short hitter either.

Would you need this just to buy a driver? I can understand new irons but driver? Just curious. I just jumped on the machine at Dick's in BR and they fitted the shaft to my swing speed.

To get 100% properly fitted, yeah. If you play once or twice a month and shoot 90 you'll be fine at Dick's. Their monitors don't give you near as much info and the guy that fits you may have no idea what the hell he is talking about (or may be fine its just a crapshoot).

The shaft and the driver tip is what is going to be fitted. Depending on your swing, you may need more or less weight in the tip, or you may have a high or low launch angle. The Dick's monitors can't tell you with certainty what's causing all that whereas the Trackman can.

Understood. I am getting new irons and will do this when I drop that left kidney but I went with what the guy at Dick's recommended for this driver and so far I am nuking this club. Easily 10-15 more yards than my old driver. Plus we set it up based on the shots I was hitting on his simulator in the store.

You are probably good and you seem to be hitting it well, but if you do want to tune it in you can get a lesson on a Trackman. I got an M2 last year and got a lesson on a Flightscope (same thing as a trackman) this winter and my buddy that is a pro said cutting my driver down an inch would help me. Making that small adjustment has helped me keep the ball in the fairway a ton more.

Golf balls.com in Lafayette. Excellent club fitters and lots of shaft options to Demo in the launch monitor.
