Looking for a new driver
Posted by fjlee90 on 5/15/17 at 4:45 pm21
My old driver bit the dust. I was swinging a Taylor Made R7, stiff flex, 9.5 degree loft.
Looking for something similar and I don't really care about price. Also looking for a good place in Baton Rouge to try out a few.

I have heard nothing but good things about the epic.

New Taylormades are very solid. Highly recommend M2. Or M1 if you're into adjust-ability

if you shank off the tee frequently go m2. otherwise go with a new d3 titleist.

Benson, pull the car around. I would like to chase it.

Go get fitted. Top of the line of any major brand is going to be good. The Epic is probably the best out right now, but Titleist and Taylormade clubs are just about as good. I've actually heard good things about the new Srixon as well, but I've never hit it.

Not sure in BR. If I remember correctly, some on this board have said the pro out at Santa Maria, but don't hold me to that. Maybe some others on the board can help out, but if not you can look up whose Trackman certified in the area. Anybody certified with Trackman should be able to fix you up, but it'll cost more.

Much obliged.

Also, shaft is more important than the driver. Every Callaway Epic head is the same, but the shaft is what makes the driver perform best FOR YOU.

Would you need this just to buy a driver? I can understand new irons but driver? Just curious. I just jumped on the machine at Dick's in BR and they fitted the shaft to my swing speed.
