When i give my friends wives or SO or just any attractive girl, i like to really have a strong embrace.

Goodell did seem creepy last night. I could see a team mate, coach, family member, or lifelong friend giving a newly drafted player a hug. A total stranger hugging someone in this context seems off. A handshake and pat on the back seems more appropriate.
