I bet it's quiet around there.

The upper Buffalo River is easily one of the nicest areas I've ever been. I'll definitely make my way back up there several more times.

Don't get caught when it gets flooded.

Hell no. I've seen the sideways trees. I love whitewater, but I'm not an adrenaline junkie. I'd rather paddle a class 2-3 and drink, than paddle a class 5. I like to enjoy the scenery.

And as long as outfitters will rent boats, the Buffalo is an easy paddle. I've been straight up twisted on that river, without a problem. Though I'm pretty experienced in a canoe.

It is a fun little show.

They put out flyers asking for help with the case then stake out a light pole to see who is reading the flyers.

Hard hitting crime drama it ain't.

Now, until the job is done. I'm thinking mid December. But I'd like to be the first one gone from here. It would be nice if they let me go soon at Thanksgiving. I would like to take about a month off. But I doubt I'll get that.

Yeah. 70 hours a week of nightshift is miserable and lonely for a single man. I wanted to move back to Nola. But nothing hit. But I have family in Mobile, so it works. And I'm with a really good company, and I didn't want to leave them.

I'm just over this shift. These hours just make you start feeling depressed.

If it weren't 60-70 hours a week, it might not be so bad. But it really screws up doing things on the weekends. Though i really hate starting work at 7 am. I'm a natural night owl. But going to sleep at 10am -noon is pretty extreme.

And one day when you retire, there is a good chance you will be like me and don't sleep. Retired 8 years ago and I don't sleep normal hours.

Morning nightwalkers.

My grandparents would stay up until 3-4 in the morning. Knowing myself, that's probably what I'll end up doing too.
