It”s Cya policy,no school system wants to be sued into oblivion because their child contracted C-19 while attending school.You can be sure that each school board’s team of lawyers had major input in crafting this policy.

Same here in Eunice, my oldest is 6th as well, except k-4 full, and 5-12 2 days a week, bc our configuration is different

HB59 which passed during the Special Session protects schools from this type of litigation.
