I've been through Missoula a few times making deliveries from Seattle towards Wisconsin. shite ton of bars and liquor stores there, can't imagine much of anything else going on there. Hunting season may provide some fireworks...

I had a funny (now) crime day in Missoula once. I had a renter on the main floor of my house and was staying in the basement apartment one winter. It was cold as shite out Monday after the Super Bowl (Den v Sea) and I had been I Idaho. Came home (after white knuckling it for 4 hours on a normal 2 hr drive due to snow and black ice) to a bunch of methheads at my house smoking inside and a homeless dude sleeping on front stoop and his Albertson's cart.

The tenant was a legit math PhD student at UofM (WAS, at the time). I later discovered he had a Gmail account: methematician@...

The cigarette smoke was so bad I had to go stay at the Motel 6 down the road.

In the middle of the night I hear a bang on the door. Nothing out the peephole.

Then hear cops a few minutes later. Learned later that am that some morons robbed the motel 6, taco bell and some other random places. With a watergun. Caught them very quickly.

Stranger than fiction.

Last night in Montana “ a suspicious man with a dog and a rifle? Suspicious? probably a grouse hunter and it was probably not a rifle it was a shotgun, reason 57394 why Californians need to stay the hell out of Montana.

Montana was a bad add...besides maybe some cool snow in the winter - I don't see a lot of excitement out of Montana.

Montana is special.

quote:

Montana’s top law enforcement officer subdued an apparently intoxicated man who was throwing punches at bystanders Tuesday night after the Montana Energy Conference.

quote:

Just before midnight, Carpenter became “belligerent and enraged” when someone went to take his drink away and he began to throw punches, Iffland said.

Carpenter allegedly struck the attorney general in the face.
