Let's do this!
On AE for those who don't know.
Live PD: police show like Cops but is live with 8 different departments around the country including St Tammany Parish. Show runs from 8-11p on A&E Friday and Saturday nights.

I watched a segment of that show once. I am pretty sure it was a new episode and there is no way they were live at those scenes...

That would be too risky for the networks. What if nothing goes down in the locations they are set in, during the time the show is on?

i'm sure there is a 5- to 10-second tape delay like other live tv events

Sometimes if there is nothing going on at the moment they'll show something that happened earlier in the week or earlier in the night that isn't live.
