She has a "face for radio", speaks with food in her mouth, is completely disinterested in her job, and all too often provides totally inaccurate info. Her voice often breaks and it sounds like she has a frog stuck in her throat.

Traffic changes every 2-3 minutes, by the time they finish the report its changed. Pull out your phone and put your destination in and follow that. You will come out ahead 9/10 times.

I wonder how much money one makes just doing 1 minute traffic reports on South Louisiana radio stations for decades. Pretty sure she was around in the late 80s. (Those asking probably do NOT want pics)

Not much is these days... traffic for a large area is voice-tracked out of New Orleans.
When I was in Atlanta radio five years ago, we would import traffic reports from Dallas.

Beebe had a great radio career. He worked at WNBC New York for many years in the 70s and 80s when Don Imus was doing mornings and Howard Stern was doing afternoons from ‘82-‘85. One of his bosses was Bob Pittman, creator and CEO of MTV.

The traffic reports can be recorded any where and sent to the station’s server and playout computer. You can be half way across the world but as long as you can access the traffic and transit apps, you have a sponsorship opportunity.
