Lift chair repair referrals?

An elderly family member’s lift chair quit working. She lives alone and I live 2,000 miles away.
Anyone know of a company that can do a house call to repair a mechanical chair?
I have no idea if it’s an electric issue or a part that needs replacing. Making calls in the morning, would appreciate a lead or two to help get someone to her faster.
Thanks I’m advance.

Medical supply companies usually repair them.

Might help if you tell us what area of the planet this is

Where is the family member? Another poster is correct, look for a medical supply store near the person and see if they sell lift chairs. Another option is to contact the manufacturer of the chair and ask if they have a dealer in the area.

Forreal, props to you for actually caring and taking care of this for your fam.

BTR. Contacted the company, under warranty, but 3-4 weeks to get someone to come to check it out to try to figure why it is not working.
Looking for a fix-it company that could figure out how to do things without being an “authorized representative”.
It’s just a chair with a motor, How complicated could it be?

I assume the chair operated correctly until now. If the pendant which operates the chair is lit, that would indicate the chair is probably getting power, so the problem may be the motor itself. If the pendant is not lit, it is probably a bad power supply. Either way I am guessing that, right now, it would take a while to get a replacement part. Contact a medical supply company in BTR and see if you can rent a chair for a few weeks until it gets repaired and ask the company to cover the cost as part of the warranty.

Find out the brand. Then call manufacturer. They will have a list of resales in the area. Just went through this with dad's. Is it a wheelchair lift or the lift that goes up stairwell.

Same. Had to have a family member’s repaired a while back and we called the store it was purchased at. They sent their own technician. Ended up having to swap it out for a new one that they didn’t carry anymore so it’s a little different but actually nicer.

Some of them have a transformer block halfway along the power cord. The power cord plugs into that block. Sometimes that plug gets loose. I doubt that is your problem, but worth a look.

Why not fly there and look at it?
Or do you hate your granny?
