People going to get rich opening dementia centers
Had a youngster reply to a post on a thread some time back that the youth, those who went to the gym regularly, eat right coupled with AI would increase their life span by decades. Yes, increase their life spans while in a dementia center.

Yeah we have a ways to go to fix that issue
"Approximately 32% to 33% of people aged 85 and older live with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. This prevalence increases significantly as individuals advance in age, with estimates reaching up to 37% for those 90 and older."

So we enjoy life in America
Exactly. So you really can't compare us to Japan and say something is wrong with us because we live 4 years less than them. This is all WHO talk

quote:you asking what the avg life expectancy was in 1930 and bringing up your parents age at death implies they died at that time and you were wondering how their lifespan compared to the average at the time.
Wonder what it was in 1929 and 1930 because my dad was 91 and 4+ months when he died and my mom was 90.5. Both obviously lived longer than life expectancy back then.
Just clearing that up. Being that the average life expectancy is 79 yo today doesn’t mean that is the expected life span of Americans born today. That is the average age of people dying now.
With continued advances in medicine the average life expectancy of kids born today should be well into the 80s, maybe more
