No idea if this is real or just an invitation to mention sad, old country songs about women leaving.
Regardless, I’ve never been a big country guy, so my catalog is pretty narrow, but I’ve always loved “It’s Been A Good Year for the Roses” by George Jones. Before my time, but I heard a cover by Counting Crows over 30 years ago now—shite—and have loved just about every version I’ve ever heard, especially the Jones’ original.
