I always thought no undershirt with slacks and a button up looked pretty unprofessional?
The entirety of the OT at work... letting it hang out.

I am talking more about with polos. A button up may be a different story.

I fully admit that I look pretty unprofessional when I wear slacks (sometime jeans) with a button down and no undershirt to work.

Undershirts are for dorks and fat guys. Just saying.

It's buttoned up with a tie for me. Not to mention I don't have chest hair.

I think the issue there is 3 buttons are undone
That definitely looks unprofessional.

Haven't worn one since high school.
There are plenty of Brooks Bros shirts that are too thin to wear without an undershirt. Of course, I didn't know that until they arrived in the mail. So I bought some Polo v-neck shirts and like them quite a bit.

If you buy Hanes look for the comfortblend
I bought a pack of comfort soft and it had a free comfortblend to try
It's so much softer and much more comfortable

I wear Haynes tagless v necks
Generally in colder months I wear a long sleeve one.
In warmer months i'll go short sleeve.

I like the v-neck athletic type shirts from old navy. Not the skin tight under armor type stuff. You can get them in different colors and they're only like 5 bucks.
The only time I don't wear one is if I'm wearing a t-shirt. There's a guy in my office, definitely not fat, that doesn't wear undershirts, which has resulted in a 'darkening-of-the-pits' - and this dude doesn't wear cheap stuff.
