I'm typically a Michelin guy, but I've been running Kumhos on my Land Cruiser for the last 6 months and don't have any complaints thus far...and they were much cheaper than the LTX M/S that I typically get.

They're Michelin's economic brand.

Continental and General are the same parent company. As far as I know, they are not related to Michelin.

I’ve had Toyo Open Country AT2 Extremes on my last 2 trucks and have been very pleased. I’m about to buy a set of the new AT3s for my Bronco.

Cooper truck tires used to be very solid, then the Tupelo plant turned out a bunch of shite tires in 90s and got a bunch of people killed. Google Bruce Kaster and Cooper verdict etc.

Tires are the most under appreciated aspect of your car, for both comfort and safety. Just get the fricking Michelin’s.

BFG's on my full-size truck (OEM) and Cooper HT3's on my other. Have had Cooper tires on most of my vehicles with no isdue. Only set of tires I was really disappointed in was a set of Dunlops I put on a Ranger, horrible wear and lasted barely half their tread life.

I have Michelin Defender LTX tires on my Tacoma. I really like them. They ride very well. I bought them through TireRack and had them installed by one of TireRack’s authorized installers (which happened to be where I get my oil changed anyway). I got like a $100 rebate.
