I can do it, but then again, I'm Asian.

When I was stationed in Korea we called it the "Ajushi squat."

Ajushi? That sounds like Agashi and Ajumma made a two headed baby with a head of kimchi ;)

That's how it's spelled? I always thought it was adashi. Guess I just sounded like an idiot.

Pretty much every Asian and African squats like that. It's their equivalent of our sitting on our asses. They also take shits like that. I lived in Africa for a bit, and their toilets are in the ground. Some places installed ropes from the ceiling for white people to hang on to so they wouldn't fall over when they were shitting.
Basically comes down to Westerners never sitting like that when they are young children. Very similar to language in a sense.

I do this subconsciously all the time. Especially when working with my hands fixing crap. I'll take the thing I'm working on off the work bench and put it on the ground and Asian squat while I tinker with it. It just feels natural even though everyone looks at me strange for doing it.
White guy 25yo so I'm sure that plays a big part in letting me be flexible enough to do it comfortably.

I thought it was the Slavic squat to be honest, and that you needed a bottle of booze in front of you. I didn't know Asians did it too.

That's actually how humans are designed to sit. Not on our arse.
This is 100% true. It's also how we were designed to shite.

Asians are genetically designed to squat properly. It's a reason why China has become so dominant in recent years in Olympic weightlifting...well, that and the PEDs.
