That's life. This country was way better when we didn't try to remove all risk and danger from every aspect of our lives.

This has nothing to do with Life 360, but there is just an overall helicopter parenting thing in today’s world that is just strange to me. When my son started going to dances in high school, I couldn’t believe the elaborate pre dance gatherings complete with all the moms and dads there taking pictures. My God, what happened to sending your kid out on a date or to a dance without all that hovering fanfare. Very odd to me. I can’t imagine all that pre date parenting BS every time I went out in a date.

You obviously dont have kids
I have a freshman at LSU and I pay his tuition and car insurance and health insurance. Still don't feel the need to track his every move.

He's fine....he's in his 3rd year and on the Deans List carrying 17 hours this year....he's also in a frat.....he goes to class...I just like to know when he's in class and when's he's not so If I want to call him I wont disturb him if he's in class......I dont care if he's at his house and sleeping and I call and wake him up

Some kids need that extra prodding to get going. Nothing wrong with that.
Kids who need parental prodding to go to class do not belong in college. Period.

This is the type of parenting that causes a senior in high school to tell his high school baseball coach, "I don't have any of my stuff today because my mom/dad didn't pack it for me" It happens way more than you think. Guess what, they also 100% of the time have life360 on their phone.

Most women become helicopter parents because they see other mom's doing it and it's really just a competition between all those catty bitches. Most men go along with it because they don't have the balls to stand up to their wives. For most it really has very little to do with keeping their family safe and more to do with making themselves feel better. It's weird

Yall really keep making up these fake stories to prove your point. It's getting more and more creative as this thread ages.

My son who is in his 2nd year asked to be taken off. I said ok, your phone bill is $79/month, and you can send me the money at the end of each month. He quickly dropped the subject.
I'm ok with letting if off of 360 (the SO isn't just yet) but its now incentive for him to want to start paying his share.

Thats insane. He's a legal adult and you're tracking him through college. If you don't want to pay for his phone just make him get his own plan lol.

So you're either drawing a direct line from life360 to your lazy arse player, or you're making one lazy kid be representative of life360 as a whole, when in reality, the word for that is anecdote.

We have it, I don't give a shite who knows where I am, and neither does my wife. It's more to track the kids, I mostly use it to see how much time before my wife gets home so I can make sure my honey do chores are completed

They've all convinced themselves they're good parents though because they spy on them eveytime they leave the house.

were in the time where GenX has been raising kids during this big advancement in technology.
GenX kids were the last latch key kids. we all knew the shite we did and now have become helicopter parents bc of it.
