In 2018 eastern europe > western europe
Western europe is lost
yea not even close
There are some amazing places to see in Eastern Europe but then you are promptly reminded how big of a shite hole it is.
If Eastern Europe was so much better why do so many Eastern Europeans flood into Western European countries?

Probably the Muslim invasion
You mean like Russia having more Muslims than any country in Western Europe?

Sure.
You could be born into North Korea, Congo, Central Africa, Russia under Stalin, a Jew in Germany, etc....

Do people still consider Russia part of Eastern Europe? We kicked their arse into Asia during the Cold War.

For sure, your not really into Asia Russia until you go way east
Its funny though many Europeans don't consider Russians as European. They just call them Russians. Russians are not very popular people in Europe other than a place like Serbia.

That’s how I’ve always considered them. The part of Russia in Europe is just kind of there.. it’s own thing.

The most "Muslim" countries in Europe are all in the East. Kosovo, Albania, and Bosnia are over 50 percent. Macedonia is around 35 percent, and Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Montenegro, and Russia are all 10-20 percent. Now none of those are from immigration from Pakistan or the MENA regions, but the point still stands.
You're comparing two different types of Mooslems. You have the secular Mooselms that have been converted through conquest centuries ago and then you have the batshit crazy, Allah Akbar, run motherfrickers over with a semi, which currently reside in the West.

Moscow and St. Petersburg are certainly. European. That was Peter's whole mission.

Western Europeans always look down on Eastern Europeans generally speaking

Russia is really its own beast, though I'd probably say they're more European than not (at least compared to near neighbors who are other powers like the Iranians, Chinese, Turks, etc.).
A Slavic people who were conquered by a Scandinavian warrior class who were then over-run again and again and again by peoples from the East and then the West. I'd throw in the Belorussians and the Ukrainians in the same general bucket.
Probably the most fascinating cultural/historical/genetic group of people in the whole region are the Romanians. They're basically a Dacian/Pannonian/Moesian Roman hybrid with Slavs that somehow managed to keep its language and culture intact for two thousand years in what is perhaps the most historically chaotic region in the world.

I would hope Russia is more European than Iran and China

You misread what I wrote. I said that Russia is probably more European than it is central Asian (Iran) or eastern Asian (China), not that it is more European than those two.
However, it does share some characteristics of both, particularly some of its central Asian neighbors and historical cousins and/or enemies and/or friends. Not the least, because the Russian Orthodox Church considers itself the rightful and natural ideological heir to the Church of Constantine, it is distinctly Eastern in a way that somewhere like Hungary or Poland or Lithuania is not.

I was joking but this:
Isn't even a legitimate debate.

Russia started off strictly european and expanded into Asia over centuries. I have a bigger problem still considering Istanbul a european city.

Bosnians are basically only Muslim in name
but you have more Allah Akbar fricking in Russia than the west.

They dont bleed over when Putin opens the border to all former soviet republics.
Muslims from former soviet states are doing the majority of the physical building labor in places like Moscow.
Moscow has more Muslims than any Western European city.
