The only time I've been to Beaumont was in college, to my frat bro's dad's place for some weekend long party. He was a prominent surgeon, divorced and basically a swinger, and lived on an estate. We didn't leave the area the whole time and had a ridiculous time. I got alcohol poisoning and my peen didn't feel normal for a week after.
Anyway, after that for the longest time, I thought Beaumont was some kind of Mecca
based solely on the weekend at my buddy's dad's place without leaving. I found out later it actually sucks.

On a more serious note, Beaumont's Stallworth Stadium hosted the Bayou Bowl from 2003-2012. It featured a team of Texas seniors vs a team of Louisiana seniors.
