No way I retire at 60, I spend way too much money for that

You, me and about 200M other workers in the US

I'm retiring at 62 (3 1/2 more yrs); I've just had enough

4-10's so I have 20% less than that.

I don’t know why anyone would want to retire that early

I'm retiring at 62

Sorry to ruin your day, but you probably deserved it.
You didn't account for holidays and other items that come up.
I'm military, Air Force specifically... so that account for literally half of the 7500! TRUEEEEE

I plan to. I've crunched the numbers and I'll be fine financially (barring something extraordinary).

Ha...I've only got 2,930 more days to go. Wait a minute...
ETA...was counting calendar days in stead of work days.

Turning off your cellphone and vacation time aren't the same thing. Goldman just inquired with me about a job, they get more than 2 weeks vacation.

Absolutely you get vacation but you also always need to be on call.
How old are is you? They like to recruit those guys straight out of grad school.

Ain’t a vacation if you have to bring the work laptop.

So what about someone who is semi retiring in 3 years, 7 months.
Can you do that math for me? Nevermind, I already know it by heart

Who the hell retires at 60?

Dad retired at 61-62

30 years is more than enough time to save for retirement, even without social security. If you've been at all responsible in your 20's you can retire at 50-55 easily.
