Family of four
HSA
$715/month.
Company picks up the rest, which is about $600\month.

$3500 deductible per person
$6000 deductible per family

100% you pay everything until you meet the deductible, idk. Never reached it.

No co-pays but you can have a pre-tax payroll deduction to a credit card to use in paying the deductible. Sucks.

This thread really makes the pro Union guy in the strike thread look like an a-hole for talking about how he has to pay "$400/month for his family healthcare."

For the most part the true "cost" of insurance are in the benefits

true

but my company basically gives me $3000/year to pay for all the out of pocket costs, so I only ever have to pay the monthly premium

Wife and me $498/month $5000 deductible. Son individual $250/month no deductible just copays. Baby due in 2 weeks will have the same. $1000/month or a $200,000 house note, with ins. And taxes paid. Makes me sick to my stomach to think about, but I won't go see the Dr. die to the 5k deductible.

Self Employed btw- Both the wife and I

I am. My premiums are the same amount as a 30yr note on a $225k house.
