Let's Make an Important Distinction re: Veteran

A number of people call themselves veterans...
1. Combat veterans who actually performed combat duties.
2. Combat veterans who are POGs.
3. Active duty veterans who never saw a day in a combat theater.
4. National Guard / reservists who never served in a combat theater.
Quite frankly if it was up to me (I'm I'm group 1) I wouldn't call anyone from categories 3&4 "veterans." This is my personal opinion of course and the VA says they are veterans . So just remember when someone calls themselves a "veteran" it's an extremely ambiguous term.
Do I consider myself superior to other 27 year olds who never saw combat? The truthful answer is yes. I am extremely privileged to have served besides the greatest warriors in the world. Being a military officer was once a crowning achievement civilians respected. Vietnam ended that.
That's just my PSA.
Now Memorial day I would like to remember my good friends call sign GUN 23 Jarett Yoder and Matt Ruffner, PA national Guardsmen fighting alongside us active duty troops, who died on April 9th, 2013 in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan.

I would love to serve in combat for the mere fact that my shite wouldn't stink anymore afterward. I mean, I wouldn't even bother flushing anymore and I'd never think twice about taking massive dumps at work. I probably wouldn't even wash my arse anymore. Do you wash your arse?

5) Anybody who serves in jobs more dangerous than being in the military (construction, etc.)

Did your dyslexia cause you to miss the word "massive?"

Congrats on your superiority complex. I'm sure you saw a lot of combat, as people that have been in combat love to talk about it and brag on message boards about how they are badass.

Appreciate the honesty of your perceived superiority.

Ok, so there was no war, police action, or military advisories going on when I was in, and although I served my country I am not a veteran in your eyes because I didn't see combat.

So you think twice about taking shits at work if they feel big? Do you cut them off after a certain amount? Hold it in until nobody else is in there? What an insecure pussy.

So because you pulled the trigger, the guys and girls who made sure you had ammo, weapons, vehicles, food, etc etc etc etc are inferior?

I did a stint in Nangarhar. Some good times in JBAD. I spent most of my time in Paktika though, even better times.

I have respect for veterans. I now have zero respect for the OP.
