Unless you can come up with some good reason why I should pay it off early.
I’m 33 and have no debt outside of my mortgage and I am not a baller. Debt sucks and is a waste of money paying on interest.

That depends. If you finance a vehicle at 2.9% you might be better off holding on to your money. My investment account is up 28% this year. I'd have missed out on those gains to avoid financing.

You’re the exception...
In fact , college is the biggest sham of all. Call it what it is. It’s simply a way of delaying hundreds of thousands of people into the workforce.

The study showed that the single most indebted birth cohort in the nation at that time were 44-year-olds, who owed on average $142,077 — most of which was mortgage debt
Is this supposed to be bad?

Why do millennials feel that they won't make the same mistakes. They have all of the data from the previous 2 generations and will likely end up worse off.
At least in my generation, we didn't walk around with a bunch of other lemmings on the hunt for a pikachu. Right into traffic.

No you just do other equally stupid shite.
You're an idiot if you make a post saying "what makes you think you won't do the same thing? Oh and also you do things differently than my generation"

I don't think it's good compared to where boomers were at the same age... especially coupled with their credit card problems. They're living beyond their means.

That's insane to me, but I know that is how some people actually think and I understand that philosphy. To each his/her own. If I can make Between 8-33% per year investing, or more, and only have a loan interest of 2.5%, why would I use that money to pay off the 2.5% loan and lose out on the gains of compound investing?
