Yeah, it's a badge of honor for them (if they live, relatively unbraindamaged).
I guess it is the so many things that can go wrong.
1. A driver of a real vehicle (Mini Cooper, Smart Car, trike, etc.) makes a mistake in front, beside or behind you? Emergency room.
2. Weather changes suddenly? Emergency room.
3. Oil on the road? Emergency room.
4. Get distracted? Emergency room.
5. Loose gravel or sand unexpectedly falls off construction or agricultural vehicles? Emergency room.
6. Squirrel thinks he can make it? Emergency room.,
etc.
Where's my badge?

I personally know three people that died in their homes. We should all stay away from living in a home.

And for fricks sake don't refer to minicoopers and smart cars as " real vehicles", that is just embarrassing.
I'd drive a Mini. I don't have to prove anything to you.

Owl flies in path? Morgue
I know of one instance of this back when I was a teenager. A man was killed when he collided with an owl in the evening riding from Buellton, CA to Solvang, CA.

I'd love to know the official percentage of motorcycle owners that have been hospitalized because of a wreck. In my unscientific surveying, it seems to be 100%.
before california got helmet law, 10 15 years old prices, it was stated that it cost $90,000 per non helmet accident.
