Yeah, this is one of the biggest redpills that has killed more libertarians than anything else since 2020. As it turns out, most people are not responsible enough to enjoy a great deal of freedom and autonomy. The society you and your kids live in is directly affected by people abusing drugs, choosing not to work, aborting the unborn, and generally living a completely narcissistic and unmoored lifestyle. I wish everyone could just do what they wanted, but some of those choices at the macro scale are fraying the already tenuous bonds holding this purported American society together. You just can't have this degree of atomization and individualism and also have a resilient national culture.

It’s not an interesting take, there has been a lot of research on it. It’s not hard to comprehend that unwanted children grow up in shitty situations then grow into shitty adults.

With abortion at its highest point in American history right now, crime is through the roof.
Maybe without the fallback of “hey I can just go kill this kid because I made a fricking stupid decision” people would think twice.
Killing someone because of who they may become is pretty sick man.
