I rode for free for like a month in Nashville. Lyft gave everyone $200 free for the first 2 weeks so we took it to the grocery store on the last day so it didn't go to waste.

And about it putting cab drivers out of work, they can easily become Uber drivers. In the history of capitalism there are thousands of stories of industries going under because something better was created. You adapt or go to waste.

Those poor chimney sweepers, steamboat manufacturers, and horse carriage drivers!
