Thank you. She had an inoperable brain tumor and never could have kids this nephew was special to him. That is one main reason I want him to have a good gift from Aunt Shae under the tree for him.

I confess I still have my own Lego blocks from when i was a kid as well as a HUGE tote of Lego blocks from when my son was little. We had so much fun with them when he was a kid and last time he came to visit he took them back to his place to play with.

I don't know how old he is but if he young get duplos. If he is older than 4 get Legos. The cheapest way is to go to bricklink, search for the used Legos you want and go to town. My oldest just turned 4 and I get tons of basic blocks and piecemiel the special ones. The duplos usually go for less than .10 a block. I have gotten the duplo train tracks for .30 cents a block.

Seriously, contact LEGO directly. They will make personalized packages for kids that have experienced a loss.

Again. Sorry for your loss and good luck.

Not a full page into a thread about Lego's and you're cussing at a guy and making fun of his wheelchair. Have you ever considered that maybe it's not everyone else that has a problem?

Here is the lego site.
LINK

Looking at the site makes me want to buy a set.. I didn't find much about getting customized sets, but I am sure it can be done.

The website has suggestions for each age range.

They're a great company. They are actively involved with make a wish, make sure that no matter how old the blocks you buy mesh, by swapping molds every few months, to doing educational programs.

Again. Sorry for your loss.

Lego usually sells one, sometimes two, Advent calendars. They don't have religious themes other than a couple of symbols of Christmas like Santa or a tree, so it works for any family. Every day for the month of December he can get a small present from his Aunt and then you can also get him a larger set for Christmas Day.

I created a wish list on Amazon to keep track of them. There are so many different sets to choose from. I was like a kid all over again checking them out for hours. I had so much fun with my son and his Lego blocks.

My sis will let me know today which big one that he wants the most and I will have fun picking out all sorts of the smaller unique sets. I had forgotten how much I love Lego blocks.

I saw that they also have a Lego Advent calendar. I hope they have it again this Christmas because that sounds pretty cool.
