Yes, evidently, because she was a female CEO she felt as if she needed to do something to be taken more serious. In the book there is someone (or maybe a few people) who said they caught her off guard and she started off saying something in her normal voice.. Then she quickly went back to the deep voice once she caught herself.

Seriously, I would really like to discuss this topic, if others are interested as well. Go shite in someone else's thread.
People who are always trying to frick with someone on a message board usually has their own issues so they try to go after people because it makes them feel better.
What issues are you dealing with? Well, actually I don't really care. But can you go find someone else to frick with who might actually get upset? (which is what you are actually seeking in order to make you feel better).
And stop going into threads you don't like.. Instead of getting worked up over them then going bitch on the help board.

Yeah, lawyers don't get screwed. And if they do, they screw someone else to make up for it..
But the story is interesting because unless she comes up with the money she needs to hire a good defense team, she might get a more harsh sentence than she thinks she will get.

I will give it to you, this is actually not a bad thread. 10/10 better than basically your "My friend messaged me about his friend who tried to commit bank fraud by ripping $100 in half then trying to trade the two halves at different banks for two whole $100 bills" thread.
If you started threads like this that are actually worth a damn, 99.9%, myself included, wouldn't frick with you.
As far as Elizabeth goes, she "lost" $9B overnight, did they expect her to have loads of cash hidden somewhere? I still don't fully understand how she fooled so many much smarter and more successful people into backing her.

She went to a bunch of older high profile men. She knew that if she could sell the idea to them, having them vouch for her would bring in a lot more investors, which it did.
They were intelligent, high profile men, but they were probably not exactly up on the latest technology..She came off confident and to them, because they didn't know any better, she sounded like she knew exactly what she was talking about.
She targeted old men to be investors and she didn't allow different departments within the company to work with/communicate with each other

I watched the documentary but that's about the extent of diving into her or her business I have done, maybe a little googling while watching.
Seems like she was charismatic enough along with being easier on the eyes than most that she duped those investors into "believing" in her.
