Not sure on make and model. If I was home I’d post pics. I’ll check the muffler though.

Could be as simple as the gasket getting loose or rotting out... mufflers are easy/cheap to replace


Does it start, run REALLY loud, then kill? Or does it stay running?

Stays running. No real issues besides the noise.

Has the OT become bland? It’s a long standing joke that true OTers don’t do menial household tasks like cut their own grass. The “landscape architect” term was just a joke.
