Owner of Vows By Victoria in Lake Charles was live on Fox saying help is being turned away.

A sheriff deputy and LC police have said looting is bad. My son is staying at his plant 24/7 and he sent a buddy by his house off Ham Reid Rd 3 days post storm. His shed had collapsed and was in a pile, generator and 20 gal of gas gone. Luckily they didn’t break in the house.

Why are they turning help away? Who is doing that? Damn shame!!!

What are the best organizations to donate to for SWLA?

I passed by a convenience store in Iowa yesterday that looked as if it was being looted.

I read that they were and then I read that they weren’t.

Try a church organization or see if a church where you live is doing something. I’ll see if i can find specific groups.

If you come to south Louisiana to visit or help, you will be fed very well.
Plate lunches are being handed out on nearly every corner. Had myself some good red beans and rice yesterday. Getting geared up to head back tomorrow.

Anyone know where a storage unit with power is?
My son found some in Lafayette, phone service is so bad there but if I find out the location I’ll edit this post.

I know tarps are in short supply, if you can find a billboard lining that has been torn down see if that will work. Gordon could donate a ton of these.

OK well she said that couple was murdered -- they weren't .. and it's not on Trump. He's done his job -- the state leaders need to get their rears in gear.

The main state leader is too busy trying to prolong COVID into securing more federal money for pet projects to be concerned with helping his state’s residents recover from a natural disaster

Just got off phone with dad. An 80 year old friend of ours and his wife were killed last night in Iowa by a home intruder. He was a retired crop duster. WTF??
Just shared this with my mom. My family knew the O'Briens very well. My grandfather used their cropdusting services for many years. Terrible story.

Ha nice. Another option is synthetic roofing felt. That’s what my crews and I are using. It’s a pain when you have to do a while house but not so bad when it amounts to a patch..

Hearing that PrimeGuard just south of Cormie's, across from Gray Wood should have a generator by this evening and have climate controlled units...
337-564-5064
Good luck out there. We got a unit with no power, brought the generator and blew the fan on belongings for a few hours. Moved our wet shite to BR storage unit with AC.

They are begging people to sign contracts and telling people "we'll deal with you insurance so you don't have to" Don't do that, people, unless you want to get scammed and/or have a nightmare on your hands. That is how the guy in Baton Rouge scammed so many and took out supplemental claims on their behalf. Also, do your best to find someone local no matter how many credentials these out of town guys throw at you.
Stout you seem to have lots of knowledge. I think we were taken for a ride by a contractor pre storm. We had some damage from a pre summer hail storm and the contractor encouraged us To file a claim. Once filed he took out a supplemental claim for other repairs that I don’t believe he ever intended to start. They finished the roof and I contacted my insurance company about our recoverable depreciation from the roof but insurance needed photos of not only the roof but the supplements that were supposed to be done. Now we have to file another claim because of the damage from Laura and I know better than to let someone else deal with my insurance company.
