Is it possible for you to actually read the story before commenting?

"The Carters (as the married duo is sometimes known) recently launched scholarship funds that will benefit cities on their tour," the mayor wrote. "The City Of Yes embraces you both with love!"
quote:
During the Carters' recent On the Run II tour stop in the Mercedez-Benz Superdome, DJ Khaled (who warmed-up the crowd for the Carters) announced that the superstar couple, in cooperation with the Boys and Girls Club, had provided a local high school senior with a $100,000 scholarship. According to a story on the Essence magazine website, Beyonce and Jay-Z planned to give 10 such scholarships during their tour.
Not to discount $1 million in scholarships, but that is only 10 scholarships.
Just for perspective, they are estimated to be worth over 1.1 billion dollars and they bought a 88 million dollar house last November (with 35 million down payment).

Sounds like that's exactly what you're doing

Why don't you give them a call and tell them how much of their money they should be donating? Secondly, why do you know so much about their finances, creeper?

How many scholarships has our billionaire President created?
You do realize they also support other charities? The Shawn Carter foundation already paid out 3 mill in scholly funds, etc., for example.

Okay.
I don't think a "key to the city" is that big of a deal as it once was.
I might be wrong, but I think Steve Gleason, Drew Brees, Sandra Bullock, Big Freda and a list of others have a key to New Orleans.

The scholarship thing is awesome, but giving one kid a scholarship gets you the key to a city?

Seriously?
Did he give her a golden shower after or is she too old for his liking?

C. Denise Marcelle.
Since then, I’ve been waiting for her to also give one to David Allen Coe one of these times he’s playing the Texas Club. Not exactly holding my breath on that one.

Right. Neither one of them have had any success. Just some random black people.
Well typically you give out a key to the city to someone that is from there and very successful and/or did a lot of community work. They fit into neither of those categories.
