Belarus was teetering on the edge before this and if you’re in touch with the same sort of folks I am-you’ve got some of the same indicators,
I'm not going to overtly question anything that you are, because it isn't my place, but this isn't exactly a secret to anyone following current events in that part of the world.

Now that Russian missiles are targeting the extreme western border of Ukraine, close to NATO, what is the protocol for dealing with an errant missile that falls on NATO territory?
Benefit of the doubt and assume it was an unfortunate error and give them one more chance not to directly harm NATO territory?
Or go all out on the first time, regardless of whether it could have been an error?

His friend did a poor job being interviewed in the hospital after seeing his supposed friend just get shot in the neck and left behind after presumably a wild chase being shot at. Dudes not even upset, no shock, etc and he’s a fellow journalist as well.

The Russian airstrike on the Yavoriv Military base was significant, too. It is 15 miles from the Polish border.
This seems to the the turning point where Russia begins to fight this war as they should have from the beginning.

If they're flying that close to the border it's only a matter of time before somebody strays over.

This could be fun. I'm not the fish you're going to catch, though.

That’s cutting close. Was also near a refugee corridor as well.

That hasn't mattered to Russia to this point, and it doesn't matter now.

They’ll give the Russians one warning, but two incursions into Polish airspace, and Poland will probably go ‘frick it’ and take us into World War III whether we like it or not.

Just repeating what I heard to speak to the person I was originally replying to.if I was to bottom line this I’d say this Russian invasion is precarious on multiple fronts.

Moldova has seen its population grow 4% in less than three weeks:
quote:
Moldova’s foreign minister Nicu Popescu has said his country is approaching a “breaking point” in its ability to shelter Ukrainian refugees.
The number of refugees staying in Moldova is around 100,000 but represents a 4% increase in the national population.

That’s interesting when stated in percentage growth of total population. I know Poland said they were reaching a breaking point as well. They’ve taken in, I believe, 1.4 million.
Where does this go when neighboring countries have to fully shut off refugees?

Are there not any countries further west that could take in some of the refugees to give Poland, Moldova, etc. some help?

Probably another part of the Putin plan to destabilize NATO. If Poland, Romaniaa et al don't feel they're getting enough help with the refugees.

Treat the refugees nicely. If their stay becomes long-term, help them assimilate into society. In the end, central and Western Europe can benefit from increased population sizes. (As sad as the refugees’ losing their own homeland will be.)

Michael Kofman, @KofmanMichael, is a good Twitter follow. He's also been on the War on the Rocks podcast the past two weeks. He's Ukranian by birth, but does a good job evenly covering this war.
