An X thread on how the attack was carried out.

Let's run some numbers on Ukraine's brilliant operation to take out russia's strategic aviation deep in russia and Siberia.
8× containers are visible in this image
As Ukraine sent 2× containers to each of the 5× air bases they attacked, another 2× must be out of sight.
1/6
quote:
Each container roof seems to have housed 9 compartments. Here we can see that at 3× per compartments, but they might have even had space for 4× drones.
Quick math: that's 27× or 36× drones.
Two containers per air base: 54× or 72× drones
But (!) not all compartments likely
2/6

held drones.
As we saw in this video from on of the containers launching drones, the roof of the containers slid to the side and fell down... so one compartment might have housed the motor and system to slide the roof off.
Also all the containers self-destructed once they

had launched their drone. I assume that the self-destruct mechanism was also hidden in one of the compartments.
Here we see two empty compartments, which both have two groups of four metal tacks, likely used to to prevent the drones from sliding around and detonating early.

So we can do some more math now:
• 10× containers
• 7× to 9× compartments for drones per container
• 3× to 4× drones per compartment
Each air base was therefore attacked with at minimum of 42× drones (2× containers, 7× compartments, 3× drones) to a maximum of
5/6

72× drones (2× containers, 9× compartments, 4× drones).
Absolutely brilliant operation!
One for the ages.
There will be movies about this. It will be in history books. And it is wonderful for the world to see russian aviation burn.
This is why we all love Ukraine :-)

A little Reality for all the NAFO trolls who thought 41 planes were hit but Ukraine only showed the video of 4.
They coped as much as they could.
Now back to the regular programming of Ukraine taking a daily Ls on the frontline and the in rear.

The Poles would nuke themselves gladly if it wiped out the Russians. The Arabs hate the Jews, the poles despise the Russians so much they would not piss on them if they were on fire.
They are very likely to Attack the Russians first. They likely have already acquired dozens of nukes.
For all you Putin /Russian dick suckers, why don’t you tell us about your 1938 invasion of Finland. Essentially a massacre

Hey dude you can move there right now. I have some old retired KGB buddies who were way over Putin. Although I am not sure how many still live in Russia because they all have made millions after the Fall. Knowledge is power, power can bring you wealth. They are also not nearly the Russian dick sucker you are.
But that said I am sure they can arrange for you to become a Russian citizen tomorrow and have you set up in some industrial shitty apartment by Steven Seagal and Edward traitor.
By the way they used to joke about how shitty their military craft was more than I did

Polish Power Struggle: Nawrocki Victory Shakes EU & Kyiv
In a stunning political upset, right-wing candidate Nawrocki has clinched Poland’s presidency, sending shockwaves through Brussels and Kyiv. A known Trump ally and vocal critic of Ukraine, Nawrocki openly rejects Zelensky’s NATO ambitions and EU centralism. His win sets up a direct clash with liberal-globalist PM Donald Tusk and a pro-EU parliament, foreshadowing institutional paralysis. Expect veto chaos, stalling of Ukraine-related legislation, and likely blocks on further EU military integration. Nawrocki's nationalist rhetoric resonates with a war-weary, inflation-hit population tired of subsidizing Ukraine’s endless war. Brussels fears a “Hungary 2.0” emerging inside the EU core, and Washington won’t love losing another anti-Russian pawn.

“No More Red Lines”: Putin Signals Unrestrained Retaliation
After Ukraine’s major drone strike on strategic Russian airbases, damaging aircraft including nuclear-capable Tu-95s and Tu-22Ms, President Putin delivered a clear ultimatum: diplomacy is dead.
His declaration—“there will be no more red lines”—signals a strategic escalation. Russia now considers all restrictions void, interpreting the attack as Western-sanctioned terror.
The timing—just before Istanbul peace talks—suggests Zelensky’s regime aimed at sabotage potential de-escalation.
NATO’s silent endorsement further isolates the West morally. With Putin’s rhetoric hardening, the doctrine of strategic ambiguity has given way to promised retribution.
The Kremlin’s position: expect a devastating counterstroke across military, political, and infrastructure targets deep in Ukraine."

You going to keep coping about 4 bombers being damaged? The plan failed. Hundreds of Drones didn't even make it to their targets

If tweet fails to load, click here. Fighterbomber Debunks Zelensky's Drone Hype
Zelensky is in full PR overdrive after the FPV drone strike on Russian airbases.
Claims of “117 drones” and “34% of strategic bombers destroyed” are classic wartime bluff. Fighterbomber, a seasoned Russian milblogger, breaks it down: most drones didn’t even reach their targets—jammed, detonated mid-air, or missed entirely.
Yes, there were hits—3 Tu-95MS and 1 Tu-22M3 confirmed destroyed at Belaya—but “hit” doesn’t mean “destroyed.”
Ukraine doesn’t manufacture strategic bombers, so even light damage counts as “a win” in their narrative war. Zelensky’s line that “our people are safe” is damage control—some saboteurs fled, others disappeared into civilian cover.
Russian counterintel is now untangling a vast logistics web behind the sabotage, from sourcing drone parts to sneaking explosives across Russia."

Initial BDA from Ukrainian diplomatic source: "34% of strategic cruise missile carriers were hit, including 27 Tu-95, 4 Tu-160, 2 Tu-22, probably A-50 at the main five airfields in the Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur regions. Confirmed enemy losses at the Olenya airbase are at least four strategic Tu-95 bombers and one An-12. "

It's a heartwarming gesture that on this Military Transport Day, the SBU included one An-12 in the festivities.

It appears that Ukraine just destoyed ~30% or more of Russia’s nuclear-capable strategic bombers.
Shouldn’t be hard for Russia to comply with New START Treaty limits now.

Now go back and rewatch Zelensky in the Oval listening to Trump and Vance hector him about Ukraine’s having no agency or capability absent the U.S. He had this op in mind the whole time.![]()
Today is a good day to stay away from windows in Russia.
