State Department telling all Americans to leave Russia immediately: Yahoo
And obviously this treasonous embarrassment of a State Department isn’t going to do shite to help them. Also:

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett returned from a surprise trip to Russia where he discussed the war with Putin. The trip was “in coordination and with the blessing” of the Biden administration, the latest attempt at diplomacy in the Russia-Ukraine crisis. Israel is one of few countries that has good working relations with both Russia and Ukraine.

How are people supposed to get out of Russia?
Posted on 3/6/22 at 1:37 pm to OMLandshark
And some of these political pundits are trying to get us all killed. First time I’ve ever done this, but I will defend Antony Blinken here against Chuck Todd who is basically demanding we put up a No Fly Zone over Ukraine: Twitter
And then here Todd is later in the program trying to get Joe Manchin to get on board with the No Fly Zone: Twitter
And at the same time, here’s George Stephanopolis over at ABC prodding Marco Rubio with the same demand in the disguise of a question where Rubio correctly says that would start WWIII: Twitter
Things are fricked if I’m defending Tony Blinken from the press.

Especially since Visa, Mastercard, Google, and Apple Pay have banned all transactions there. That’s a hell of a good question.

Car or train or plane. Turkish Airways and the Gulf airlines are still flying in and out of Moscow. They could also take the train to Tallinin Estonia like my friend and her daughter are currently doing. If someone is in the St Petersburg area then they could just drive to Finland.

Well it’s certainly a lot more difficult than it was a couple days ago. And I assume a lot more expensive

But if you only have a visa or Mastercard how are you still supposed get out of there?

Ukraine is literally begging for the west to come in and save them and Russia isn’t asking for anyone’s help.
quote:Why would Russia need their citizens to make them when they aren't being the ones invaded?
Ukraine is giving instructions to old women and children on how to make Molotov cocktails and Russia isn’t.
quote:Uhh... you do realize most of these kids they sent are conscriptions, don't you? They are barring most citizens from leaving the country to avoid conscription as well.
Ukraine has called for a mandatory mobilization of all military aged males and Russia hasn’t.
quote:Putin is holed up in the Palace too paranoid to let even let his defense ministers to get within 10 feet of him. Zelensky has been moving quite a bit. That's the only way he can get messages out and avoid the reaction when Russia tracks the signal.
Putin is giving his press conferences from a Palace and Zelensky is giving his from a bunker and can’t even move freely around his own capitol city.
Maybe I should saved some time and just responded that you're an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about and has no common sense.

Foreign airlines are allowing people to buy tickets and then pay for them with credit cards once they leave Russia.
If course when all else fails you can always offer sex in exchange for a something?

Biden Administration currently in Venezuela hoping to suspend Russian oil imports and replace with Venezuelan imports: CBS News
But God forbid we go drill for oil in our backyard because it may piss off a Norwegian autistic teenager:
It’s not like we’re on the cusp of WWIII with members of the media and a certain closeted senator from South Carolina cheering it on. We drilled zero new wells last week, which is completely insane: Breitbart

From a guy on FB
quote:
It is the second week of war in Eastern Europe. Its been a black day for the Russian air force as the air war climbs with intensity. The Russians lost an estimated nine aircraft in a single day. The Ukrainians are doing an excellent job of husbanding their anti-aircraft resources. Longer ranged missile systems keep the Russians flying low where there are plenty of shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles to pick them off. We don't need to establish a no-fly zone. Ukraine is already a no-fly zone.
And so that's the cold calculus by which superpowers wage war... by proxy. NATO does not want a war. It is not ready for war, yet. But it will gladly feed the Ukrainians arms, who will then bravely send Russians home in body bags. That is perhaps the source of Zelensky's rage against NATO today. I admire him, and I pity him. His nation fights alone, Javelins "Made in Alabama" notwithstanding. I really do empathize. But there is a precipice we must carefully tread beside as Zelensky must appreciate. Nobody wants a third world war. I still don't think Putin even. It is far less risky to the entire world to wage war by proxy. We did it to the Russians in Afghanistan, and the Russians did it to us in Vietnam and Korea. But when you have a lion like Zelensky, its possible that Zelensky's own triumph becomes Putin's downfall. Not bad for a comedian.
Which brings me to the social media war. Putin has yielded the information battlespace almost completely to the Ukrainians. He has no choice because of the Russian state's construct and narrative. So he censors social media, bans political dissent, decries Western media as fake news. But the images are all over the information space. There are helicopters getting shot down, abandoned Russian vehicles towed by tractors, utterly dejected Russian captives. Russian incompetence and barbarity shall be unveiled for all the world to see by a freedom fighter with a Samsung Galaxy. And this on top of international mainstream media's broadcasts to every outlet in the world the mounting humanitarian crisis. Russian websites are being hacked and these images are being uploaded to them. Savvy Russian Millennials and Gen Z's can easily bypass censorship to learn the truth of the world. Russians are nervous. The more commendable are curious. So beyond the pressure of the financial war we are waging on Russia, Russia is on its back heel in the information war. There is also a cultural war being waged, with the Russians thrown out of FIFA, Formula F1, International Hockey, even the Paralympics. The Russian name and participation in cultural intercourse is anathema.
Militarily, I remain concerned for the Dnieper River bend's major crossings at Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. The Enerhodar nuclear power plant, which raised anxieties of a nuclear catastrophe when Russian troops secured the facility, is the largest in Europe and provides electricity to both of the cities. The Ukrainian field army appears to be concentrated in Donbas, and thankfully now West of Kyiv. It would not surprise me that Kharkiv and Mariupol's resistance, both of which are under siege and heavy bombardment, is slowing the Russian timetable for a drive to cut off the Ukrainian Army in the Donbas. As for Kyiv, I doubt there is a timetable there at all anymore.
One thing to watch this week is how Russia increasingly responds to the damage resulting from the West's financial war, both domestically and diplomatically. The average Russian sees herself being closed off from the world, her life savings being wiped out, and possibly losing her job and her son being drafted. It was all supposed to be over by now. But its only just the beginning.

Yeah you are right, Russia is really kicking arse, the whole world is lining up to be their friend and ally and shuddering in fear that they turn their evil eye with massive military might their way. (lol)
Give me a break, this military operation is so screwed up that they had to hire Mercs, and the ground in Ukraine is filled with burning Russian Tanks, helicopters and planes which they can’t replace, because they have zero chance of getting chips etc to rebuild them. (please please china get caught sending them military equipment, chips or supplied right now so we can neuter you too)
Attached is a great article if you want some really decent background on their perspective on this, and where we really screwed them, (Jim Baker has always been a ruthless, lying mfer. Sorry he is a great ally, when he is with you, but still a mfer just like Kissinger.) You clinton haters will enjoy this anyway, as it explains his hatred for them, and why he supported fat boy. Doesn’t justify any of this but explains why so many saw this shite coming as long as 30 years ago.
How US political miscalculations help caused this mess
