About time someone gets it
Government shouldn’t tell businesses how to operate

I don't mind when local or state governments shut down businesses for violating public health codes. I don't trust the idea of "let the market take care of it."

I'm with her.
If the government were to mandate, let's say for instance, all restaurant workers wear gloves, does that make anyone safer? Or does a server wearing the same gloves for several hours put us at risk? It puts us more at risk because gloves will have crevices and places for germs/viruses to hide. It will make dumb people feel better, but it'll be stupid. And it's going to happen. They're going to be wearing nasty arse gloves and touching plates, pens, pads, credit cards, silverware. All the germs are going to get spread much more effectively.
I'd much rather go to a place where people are not required to wear gloves. Just wash your hands.
