Is this the same plant that caught on fire like last year causing insane chlorine prices in our area for swimming pools or is that somewhere else?

Westlake, LA (KPLC) - Calcasieu officials have confirmed that there was an explosion at the Westlake chemical south plant.

Officials said it involved Ethylene Dichloride.

We are currently reaching out to officials for more information.

P66 is north of the interstate, Westlake Chemical is south, it's the old PPG/Axiall plant.

My brother was 200 yards from it in a maintenance building when it went up. He said it knocked his dick loose.

So this is Plant B at the Westlake South facility? It is possibly full of chlorine? Or was full?

Tri-Chlorine
That sounds ... worrisome.

Is that what was in the tank or (I'm hoping) a company name?
