Why is anyone suggesting they should put something else in its place.

Mitch is term limited out so this isn't pandering for mayoral re-election. He would be getting into the governor's race kind of late and likely pissing off voters north of BR. The only angle I can think of is he wants this to be his legacy and rename the circle and dedicate something during the 300 year anniversary.

You know, come to think of it, the Tupac statue in Atlanta offends me. I dont think we should honor someone that was so sexist against women.

If it's inevitable that Lee's statue is taken down then I would be for moving the Bienville statue from Decatur St. and placing it on top of the pillar. Since he is the city's founding father why not place his effigy in a prominent place overlooking the city.

Never in my life have I met a Landrieu that was worth a frick.. He is a small minded man who makes his decisions based not on common sense, but only on climbing the political ladder..
