re: Lake Charles traffic is easily worse than BR

Spent plenty of time there over the years and never liked it.
The past few weeks I’ve had to pass through from Houston to Lafayette. It’s awful. A few reasons I don’t like it are the bars and restaurants are crap, there’s a lot of ran down places with a few decent areas mixed in, and lot of ghetto & rough people all over. It’s really does remind me of Alexandria or Monroe with more people and jobs.

I find that 30 minutes thing very hard to believe. I went the past two weeks from Texas to Lafayette and it took 45-1:15 to get through.

i drove downtown LC to the last exit in Sulphur in 20 minutes 2 weeks ago. got to court at 845am
traffic was even better when i left at 930am

Believe what you want, I just avoid the construction part of 210. Go through Moss Bluff to I-10 and 210 from other direction. Like I said, you have to know where to go to avoid it

Ryan Street, enterprise, around the college are mostly crap. North lake Charles is the absolute worst.
South Lc is decent you are correct. That is only a very small section of the whole city. The casino area is nice. The mall is garbage.

Not a LC native, I said that already, I just work here. I just can't let a ridiculous statement like LC traffic is worse than BR traffic go. A few weeks ago after leaving work in LC and easily getting on the road home to BR I had to sit at a complete stop and then stop and go traffic on the interstate in BR...at 7 at night...on a Saturday

Pretty much, ow he has switched to LC is a shite hole. Actually said the restaurants suck, showed he is dumb as shite with that comment. I could name 10-12 bad arse restaurants right now off the top of my head.

I will agree with you there.
With all of the projects there, if the leaders don’t frick it up, LC could be a much better place and be a destination to live in LA. That’s a long ways away and relies on a lot of non corrupt politicians getting shite done...
Again, unlikely. Hard to beat The North Shore as far as quality of life goes in Louisiana.

Been a while since you’ve driven on the interstate around LC? It routinely takes an hour plus to get from Sulphur to LC.

They didn’t read my actual original post. I said LC traffic ON INTERSTATE 10, is way worse than BR I-10 right now. They just saw the words Lake Charles traffic worse than BR in the title and got all fired up not knowing what the hell I was referring to.
