Still waiting on power. Entergy will be back in the morning. Looks like the transformer took a dump.
Found damp carpet in the front rooms. Never seen water come anywhere close to the house. Ceilings are dry and shingles are intact. It could always be worse....

Instagram Video showing Delta’s force in LC

From this video, those winds seemed higher than 98mph or whatever they are say they were.

Does anyone have something that would show wind gusts in lake charles for Laura? My insurance is fighting me on new roof and they want to prove wind was above shingle warranty.

that sounds like a crock of $hit... Unbelievable.

I'm not sure of an official source, but there are numerous reports of wind gusts of up to 135mph in SWLA including Lake Charles.

Tamko architectural. House was built in 2019 5 of 6 ridges lost shingles and had holes shot in roof from debris.

Adjuster wouldn't get on roof due to how steep it is. Don't want to start over with new adjuster but may have to.

Also desk adjuster just declining calls when they try to transfer me to him. His phone number goes straight to voice-mail for past 3 weeks.

Disappointing to hear this. I gave them great reviews here after my walk through. Since then, meh at best.

To play devil’s advocate, think about the number of claims he’s probably dealing with currently. As long as you have filed a claim, they’ll get to it.

And regarding roof, several of my family members were surprised to hear I had an adjuster physically walk my roof. It was 9/5, having filed my claim the night after landfall, and I gather they’re doing a lot of drone inspections now.

No drone inspection done. Only pictures in file from them are from the ground.

My brothers boss hired her own adjuster and whatever else to fight State Farm.

Times like this suck. It should not.be this hard to return to normal.

Well, this sucks hearing this. Been with them the last 40 years. Guess it is time to shop again.

So, anybody that has had a good deal with their house insurance. Please report.

And God speed to get all your places fixed.
