Is this a joke?

Besides LSU, Baton Rouge is a ghetto shite hole with very few good qualities. Lafayette is ten times better. I’ll deal with douche oil field Cajun trash around Lafy over ghetto hood rats everywhere you go in BR.

BINGO. If it weren’t for the basin bridge and the issues that come with it, I’m sure many many more people would live in Lafayette and commute to br for work like they do commuting down I-12 out of BR

Plus the smells of frying corn dogs, CC coffee and petro-chemicals gets nauseous after 30 seconds. BR is a great place...to drive through.

Hell, it’s not even that come to think of it.

That's a long arse way to commute. I've known a few that have done it. I didn't even like commuting from Juban Rd to Bluebonnet. We sold that damn house and moved closer to work.

They’re like 60 miles apart. What are you talking about

Is it really worse than the smell of cheap cologne and hair gel?

It's better than the smell of rancid cooking oil that permeates OPELOUSAS

I've noticed that several C stores in the area have some kind bbq place in them that stinks BAD.

Can't remember the name; oinkers, ollies, not sure.

So people don’t commute 60 Miles east to places like Tangipahoa or St Tammany Parish?

Or even 60 Miles to Point Coupee or any direction for that matter.

This shite is stupid.

Louisiana as a state is run like a third world country. No area is really “better” than the other. They each have their significant pros and cons. If the state ever politically got its shite together it would be a heck of a place with such interesting and diverse cultural offerings. However that is likely never to happen.

I did this and it wasn't bad. If it weren't for mid city I'd probably still live in Lafayette.

Mid city is definitely decent and is improving as far as BR goes. It’s just a little too close to the ghetto for my liking. They bleed into nice areas and ruin it just like they ruin everything.

SBR is fine except for a few areas. Mid City is a cool area but it's definitely near the dmz. I hope the hipsters continue to gentrify the shite out of it.

I still don’t understand how taking out a turning lane and making sidewalks bigger improves anything on government street
