That “reporter “ has a vocabulary of a 13 year old girl

That's the second reporter I have heard talking like ghetto/Vanilla Ice...

They pay these people peanuts now, so the bar to entry has fallen pretty low. Most of the "reporters" in my area are college students or fresh grads who double as videographers, editors, and weekend anchors.

I had to use a douchebag translator to decipher that.

There's barely a biz these days since hardly anyone watches local network news anymore. I would venture to say everyone except for in the biggest markets are making peanuts. That's why you're seeing this kind of amateurism on display in medium markets like Lafayette and Baton Rouge.

There’s some miserable people on this site. Gerald is a genuinely nice guy who does a great job with Acadiana Eats showcasing local restaurants. He’s also a cancer survivor who spread a ton of positivity during his battle. The people calling him a douchebag need to look in the mirror.

Settle down Gerald. The car didn't leave it's lane.

I’m embarrassed to say that guy is from Jefferson parish.

Sounds like that goofy bastard that annoys the food workers and wear sunglasses inside

He sounds like an early aughts high schooler
Or maybe a current day high schooler I don’t know how they talk, I just remembered that’s how we talked in high school when we wanted to sound tough

This is correct. The people who used to make peanuts straight out of college cutting their teeth in smaller markets are now making just a few more peanuts cutting their teeth in slightly larger markets once those markets realized they could save money getting people straight out of college.
Small markets are scrambling for scraps now.
