Steve “sunset” Miller Being fricking everywhere
This isn’t nostalgic.
He still is everywhere.
There’s a Facebook group called Sunset Sightings where people post pictures of him everywhere around town.
You’d think he was a triplet.

Ahh the Pub. I got banned from there because my buddy broke a pool stick over his own head. That stick ended up costing him like $300 because the cop patrolling the strip basically told him 'pay the manager what he says his replacement cost is now, or I'm going to take you in and book you and the courts can decide what's fair for you to pay.'
A few weeks later, I was in there again with a different friend and the manager that bounced me and banned me told me a story about two assholes he threw out about a month before and how he gouged one of them $300 for a $10 pool cue.
Good times, good times.

Also the puppet show by the waterfall in the mall
I got "lost" in the mall when I as about 4. My aunt didn't keep a close enough eye on me and I went to see the puppet show. After that, I went to what became Dillard's (Godchaux's maybe?) to ride the escalators, which is right where they finally found me, riding up and down and chatting with the other commuters.

Does Duson count in this thread? If so, Outer Limits.

Drinking on Lincoln Friday nights at the Pub, then heading over to the Keg afterwards.
Stan's on Saturday night.
What would you do for $100 at Shanahan's on Wednesday nights.
The Plaza's re-opening.
That covers most of my youth of going out in Lafayette.
Not Lafayette, but honorable mention to Blaise's in Maurice.

If so, Outer Limits.

That’s it, right there between Des Allamonds and Raceland. I’ve stopped there a few times. It’s a cool little daiquiri shop

Is the Kettle still open? We would head there after a night of drinking. The “Southerner” was a chicken fried steak the size of your head.

For real.....that guy is everywhere.
I was getting a script filled at CVS and watched him walk all around the place, not looking at any product in particular, more like he was looking for someone, then he sat down in the little chair that takes your blood pressure, and walked out empty-handed.
I am told he makes rounds at, not one, but two or three of the popular breakfast spots every morning.

Chinese restaurant there
Me and Andolsek got ran out of there one night. The ole guy was yelling at E .... 'you eat too much', 'you pig, go away'
Fricking hilarious. In typical E fashion, he looks at the old man and says 'he only at one plate'
