The same black people that use the word publicly and daily?
Sure, and the ones who don’t.

Sure, because words and actions can have different meanings and connotations depending on who is saying or doing them.

Your teenage girlfriend sucks your dick and calls you daddy and it’s pretty sweet. If your uncle sucks your dick and calls you daddy it’s a whole different experience.

This isn’t a difficult concept

I said it in the post

He doesnt want his board associated with it right? Not because its illegal but because there would likely be a cost in both money and the numbers on tbe site if he allowed it. And thats the point, there's a known social cost for publicly saying racial slurs.

Name another word that one race is allowed to use at will, but no other race is allowed to use, and will literally have you life ruined if you do.

Not to mention can be physically assaulted and the perpetrators are excused for it and the victim blamed for causing it.

It’s absolute madness. It’s a fricking word. And don’t give me the difference is the a and a hard r. It’s the same word, just spoken by different races.

It is a word, but it doesn’t mean you get to say it without repercussions.

I’m not sure what is so difficult about these concepts to you.

Because it’s the only word in the English language that will absolutely wreck your life, get you assaulted, lose your job, IF you’re a white person.

But if you’re black, you can use it on TV with abandon.

It’s insanity. How do not see the insanity of this?

So you agree there is a social cost to that slur?

Correct. Hard R does not apply to all black people. Just those who display hard R behavior, which includes breaking into other people’s shite.

Most people can differentiate between good people and pieces of shite. It’s only liberals who go the all or nothing route “she said hard R so she must hate all black people and not just pieces of shite who do piece of shite shite”

I agree as I have from the beginning of the thread that there is blatant double standards when it comes to racism in this country.

How the frick can you not?

It is the only word in the English language that carries this much weight. Why?

But it’s understood and accepted that different words have different meanings and connotations depending on who is saying it and the context in which it is being used.

This is interpersonal communication 101.

It may be the extreme illustration of that point, but it’s not an outlier by any stretch. There are double standards all over society and culture.

You keep saying it's accepted, and I just don't agree. Not until all slurs carry that same weight.

And that’s totally your prerogative to try to get all slurs to be taken as seriously as this one. But that’s just not the status quo right now.

No, not really. Because again, different words can have different meanings depending on who is saying them and the context in which they are being said.

ETA: it’s the same way you’re not sexist for preferring your teenage girlfriend sucking your dick and calling you daddy instead of your uncle.

If one accepted this definition, would you then have hesitation with her sitting in judgment of people who are literally in front of her because they stole other peoples' shite?
